Most performance drinks stop at the fuel. They deliver sugar and electrolytes and leave the rest to you. But absorption happens in the gut — and how well your gut is working determines how much of what you consume you actually get to use.

Agave inulin is a prebiotic fibre: it isn’t digested in the small intestine, so it reaches the large intestine intact, where it becomes food for the beneficial bacteria already living there. That’s the whole mechanism — feed the bacteria you already have, rather than adding new ones.

For anyone training seriously, that matters twice over. Hard training is a stressor on digestion, and the athletes who recover best are usually the ones absorbing the most from what they eat.
